Faculty of Architecture

The Faculty of Architecture is one of the largest acade-mic institutions in the Lower Silesian region and an international-ly recognized research center.  At present there are over 1600 students and 105 PhD students at the Faculty, who are taught by 144 academic teachers.
The topics of research span a wide range: from visual arts to er-gonomics, from history of architecture and archaeology to para-metric design, from urban design to strategic reginal planning. Academic research and development programs often address the Lower Silesia region and the city of Wroclaw and are conducted in cooperation with national research institutions and local governments as well as research centers in neighbo-ring countries. The Faculty is entitled to award the Ph.D. as well as postdoctoral academic degrees in Architecture, Urban Design and Spatial Planning.
