Since 2004 Richard Schmalöer and six photographers have documented private hall volumes from the time of the German economic miracle and is now publishing a book that records this documentation. This event, in which selected photographs and relics of the already demolished temples of leisure are shown, also includes the presentation of the book "Schwimmen in Geld - privaten Hallenbäder des deutschen Wirtschaftswunderers".

Richard Schmalöer lives and works in Hörde. Together with Susanne Schamp he runs the architectural office Schamp & Schmalöer on Phoenix-West.
