For the year 2018, Germany’s contribution, under the motto “Sharing Heritage,” is coordinated by the Office of the German National Committee for Monument Protection. The patron is Federal President Frank-Walter Steinmeier.
Citizens, as well as all public and private sponsors and preservers and educators of cultural heritage, are encouraged to discover Europe's cultural heritage through their activities and to participate in the Sharing Heritage program. There are also thirty-four projects of national importance funded by the Federal Government — and BBB is among them.
